Affordable selling prices and trendy designs, making low cost green car / LCGC or cheap and environmentally friendly cars become an attractive option for the community. The number of brands that sell the category car is also more diverse.
With a fund of Rp100-Rp150 million, the LCGC car can be taken home. In order to accommodate the needs of consumers, LCGC vehicles are divided into two types, namely hatchback and multi purpose vehicle.
So, how best-selling cheap car in the country?
Based on data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries, in the first quarter of 2018 (January-March), LCGC cars were shipped from the factory to the wholesales of 58,573 units.
For wholesales sales during March alone, there are 19,503 units of all models, either MPV or hatchback. Toyota Calya became the best-selling in March, due to the behavior of 5,242 units.
The next position is occupied by Honda Brio Satya with 3,898 units, Daihatsu Sigra 3,990 units, Daihatsu Ayla 2,485 units, and Toyota Agya 2.008 units.
Total sales of two products LCGC Datsun, GO and GO + Panca as many as 883 units. Meanwhile, cheap car products mainstay Suzuki, Karimun Wagon R sold as many as 370 units.
When compared to last year, LCGC sales figures showed a decline. The period from January to March 2017, there are 64 thousand units of cars delivered to the dealership, five thousand higher than this year.
The decline is clearly seen in Calya. Sales of the car in March 2018, only 61 percent compared to the previous year. Similarly, Karimun Wagon R, which only sell 43 percent.
