So I'm stuck in O'hare air terminal on a to a great degree long climate delay, pacing all over the terminal for some activity, when I pass a wine bar for the twentieth time or thereabouts. However, this time there is a young lady behind the restricted piano, playing what I can just portray as completely delightful traditional music. She was not there the ten minutes earlier when I passed.
I obviously take a seat at an unfilled table for four exceptionally close to the piano, and continue to be warmed by her music (and a bit by the wine)! She plays so easily and with such excellence in each note. Her music quickly conveys a tremendous grin to my face!
Before long, on a break, I say thanks to her and she reveals to me that in the wake of a monotonous day voyaging, and now likewise confronting long climate delays, she "simply expected to let out some pent up frustration." Wow! Her form of letting out some pent up frustration is a blessing to see.
As I sit alone tasting my wine, absorbing this young lady's festival of her melodic enthusiasm, two lady approach my table and inquire as to whether they can go along with me. I welcome them to sit and we promptly start sharing our affection for music and praising the bliss the piano music is getting us that minute.
The two ladies and I start to discuss our movements, life adventures, and interests. They before long offer with me their ongoing commitment and plans to wed in a year or something like that. Their adoration for one another conveys another immense grin to my face, much like the music that initially united us. We talk about legislative issues, life, marriage, kids, professions, family, companions, guides, and our numerous life points of view and encounters. One of the ladies is an effective creator, and the other a fruitful lawyer progressing to another experience helping ex-convicts remake their lives.
Hearing that mind boggling piano music, and after that gathering such intriguing ladies, who liberally imparted to me their insight, points of view, and sentiments of affection for one another, was genuinely euphoric. Looked with a 11 hour travel day - to get what ordinarily takes 45 minutes - could have been physically and sincerely debilitating. Or maybe, by the aggregate fortuity of strolling by a wine bar at the correct minute, and having two or three seats open at my table, my life was loaded up with happiness.
I will treasure those minutes for quite a while to come. This experience features the basic need in our lives to stop and tune in to the music. To welcome others to sit at your life table. To open yourself up to a more peculiar or two, sharing a portion of your most profound points of view and encounters. Be available to seeing and retaining, and furthermore adding to, the delight around you!
