To find out how long someone has to actually sleep in the evening, the research team consisting of 18 specialists in the fields of health, human anatomy, paediatrics, neuroscientist, elderly health science experts and expert content form a panel. For two years, they observe and analyse for the sake of getting the right guide to question the duration of sleep.
"Some people with certain conditions may need to sleep longer or more briefly than that have been recommended previously," so it is written in the report of the NSF, offered by the Daily Mail. The following update Guide bedtime released NSF, based on age:
1. Newborn (0-3 a month): duration of sleep 14 to 17 hours per day
2. Baby age 4-11 months: 12 to 15 hours per day
3. Toddlers ages 1-2 years: 11 to 14 hours per day
4. 3-5 preschool years: 10 to 13 hours per day
5. School age (6-13): 9 to 11 hours per day
6. Teens (14-17 years): 8 to 10 hours per day
7. Post teens (18-25 years): 7 to 9 hours per day
8. Adults (26-64 years): 7 to 9 hours per day
9. Elderly (65 years and over): 7 to 8 hours per day.
Unfortunately, there are still many people who sleep fewer hours than that recommended. But lack of sleep can cause a variety of health problems such as hypertension, heart pain to obesity. To get the quality sleep you need to apply a number of ways. First, make it a habit to sleep regularly not only on weekdays but weekends.Don't be because off to the Office, then you decide to sleep over night and wake up more in the afternoon. It could damage the cycle of sleep and circadian rhythms.
