Hi, where did you find out about the 2 year period? On the wallet I checked "power down" and all it says is this :

Account registered by another account requires 10x account creation fee worth of Steem Power before it can power down

which I'm not sure I understand correctly

    BTW the entire document worth the read !Converting Steem Power to back to STEEM 2 years delay is described in Steem White Paper at https://steem.io/SteemWhitePaper.pdf (page 9 §5).
