Off-chain competition is obvious: Netflix, Hulu, and Prime.
However, the only off-chain competitor, View.ly, has pretty much failed due to poor operational leadership. Blockchain side of streaming is open for business.
I remember flixxo and white rabbit also. But seems like they failed too.
I'm unaware of flixxo, but White Rabbit suspended activity temporarily at the request of a government. They're settling that out.
But White Rabbit doesn't actually offer a streaming service, it just lets you pay for them in a new way. Consider it as more of a payment channel.
