The regulator issued and posted an official request to the residents of Ethereum. They ask you to answer a number of important questions. In particular, they are interested in the technology itself, performance, user reviews, and so on. That is, all the questions that relate to the market of Ethereum.
Representatives of the regulator believe that the information obtained will allow a closer look at the Blockchain technology in general and Ethereum in particular.
The CFTC believes that a more detailed acquaintance with the Ethereum and Bitcoin markets will make it possible to identify all the existing risks of working with virtual currencies. Thanks to close contact with residents of both leading cryptocurrencies and lesser-known tokens, the regulator will be able to develop a legislative framework for the safe operation of virtual money.
Residents must answer all questions and requests within 60 days. They can provide the answer in any form: written, oral or electronic.
The request controller asked 25 questions. The main focus is on security, market features and coin storage conditions.
Thus, the regulator seeks not only to find out the maximum amount of information about cryptocurrencies, but also to alert the public about the coins and their features. In fact, it turns out that the government and regulators of America are seeking to introduce cryptocurrency financial instruments into the legal field of the country.
