I probably have to read the white paper to fully understand the technology they plan to use, but selling my ip to an 'anonymous person' is a bit dodgy . The person could use the IP for all sorts of crimes and guess whose IP is on record??

Yeah,right.Experts who are tracking persons that do shit online will know that this is fake IP,or bought or whatever.What's the chance that someone come knocking on your door?Zero and none.
I agree with you, by selling your IP the other person can do whatever he wants. Even by explaining that you sold your IP and the other person was responsible for whatever they did, it will surely be a pain in the ass having to clear your name of guilt.
Your post is great but I don't like project. There are too many ICO's today and I am sure that 95% of them will fail. This 5% that will succeed is actually big number and tech progress is on a full steam...

I know US investors are often barred from ICOs, I didn't it's the same situation for Canadian investors
It will be so nice once we Canadians have access to this. It’s ridiculous the restrictions that are put on our IP’s right now. Drives me crazy to pay for the same services like Netflix and not get the same content as in other countries. Let’s eliminate the pocket picking , content restricting middle man and have the freedom to acquire any content we want!!!! This will be fantastic once it arrives.

IP exchanges are so tricky, if security is not a primary concern I don't know what is. Can you imagine if these guys get hacked? How many people that use them would be in trouble?
