I just wrote another post about the ambiguity inherent in crypto volatility: https://steemit.com/ethereum/@rmac/why-ethereum-is-falling-recently

Still, this is very interesting. EOS, a blockchain contender poised to compete with Ethereum, has it's ICO tomorrow.

EOS is a blockchain operating system designed to support commercial decentralized applications.

Great overview here: https://www.cryptoninjas.net/2017/06/23/eos-blockchain-operating-system-unveils-year-long-token-distribution/

From the below article: "Perhaps the most notable aspect of EOS is who’s involved. For example, there’s the familiar face the company pulled to be its CTO: Dan Larimer. (The same bro champ superstar that helped launch Steemit and crash Bitshares.)

A controversial figure in the blockchain community, Larimer has won praise for his intrepid and heterodox approach to developing new projects, but also scorn for the way in which he's handled and exited those same endeavors."

Larimer is controversial, and I have even been skeptical of this platform based on some of the things I read about him and Bitshares. The best way to educate ourselves is to push through the noise and just sit down with the whitepaper: https://github.com/EOSIO/Documentation/blob/master/TechnicalWhitePaper.md

Best to decide for yourself ;)

Nice article... Don't scare me I can't afford it :-)

Much appreciated, haha uncertain times

It's within Chaos that the biggest money is made. I'm in for the long term so fingers crossed on the big picture and that it's only a pimple on a 500lb Chicks Ass !!

Just wish the US could get in on it! Time to expatriate?

If there was ever a time, it's now :P

Good points in this post. Same mindset here. The price of a coin should depend on the quality of the product, the team behind it, if proffesional investors believe in it, and a lot more facets. Personally I always use: https://www.coincheckup.com They seem to give this complete indepth analysis of all cryptocoins. Sorted by team, product, company, advisors, previous investors, etc. Go to: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Ethereum#analysis To check Ethereum Research report
