Today I would like to make a review on TE Food - Food traceability for livestock and fresh food.

Right now blockchain technology is emerging in every industry from finance, supply chain management, Decentralised exchanges, medical and in many more areas. The new emerging technologies like AI and DLT are shaping every industry to make more transparent and corruption-free the entire ecosystem. Till now observing or knowing the quality of every single process from farming to selling food products through retailers to consumers is very difficult for every contributor (logistics, supply chain management, Farmer, wholesaler) and consumer of the product. And we all know that in the present situation every food item is coming with a mix of a lot of dangerous chemicals and other pesticides.

Right now it is very difficult to get hygienic food for the people. Rather than the food producers and wholesalers and third-party traceable services are trying to modify the real information which is like if they mix any chemicals or antibiotics but they will say they are making food from the farming without any chemicals or antibiotics by changing the real history of the way farming. This will lead to people to buy the product without actually knowing about the real food quality of the product. Due to this, the people are facing with a lot of new deceases and approximately 700 million people are affecting with deceases and dying 4,00,000 people in every year.

So to meet the needs of people and to increase the quality of living, TE Food comes with a solution for food traceability with the help of Blockchain technology from farming to selling through retailer.

TE Food is a livestock and fresh food traceability solution. Currently, TE Food tracing only pigs, chicken and eggs and in near future they are looking to expand traceability and identification features to cattle, fish, meat with AI-based face recognition technology.

So from now onwards altering the actual production process like feeding, slaughtering and inventory timing are not possible. And not only that unlike other startups who are coming up with ICOs without having any real working product or business in the real world. But Te food is already established its presence in Vietnam since 2015.

TE Food uses various advanced technologies like Face recognition and identification tags for identification purpose and to follow the whole process of the supply chain. TE Food also introduces various new features like Food Safety alerts (If the transport of fresh food takes more than expected then alerts will be given at receiving a point), Reputation system, Supporting conscious customer behaviour.

TE Food launched its mobile-based application for B2B and B2C marketplaces. In the B2B mobile app, there will be different tools and modules to transact, analyze and for identification, Authorisation purpose.

In B2C mobile app, the consumer will be able to know the product history from its origin by scanning QR code printed on the product.

TE Food introduces its own utility token TEFOOD for transaction fee and for value exchange between parties. The valuable data from one supply chain management can be exchanged with other parties for TEFood tokens. To reward conscious consumers who try to know the food history with TE Food mobile app.

As they mentioned in their whitepaper even though TE Food having competitors like Ambrosus and Wabi but still those projects are in the starting of development. And competitors are only concentrating on B2C based applications whereas TE Food having a presence in B2B and B2C and also it provides analytical tools, modules, apps to analyze the data by private companies.
