Major news on the Ethereum front:
After publicly criticizing Ethereums scalability just last month Vitalik Buterin was apparently already thinking in solutions. Together with Joseph Poon, the author of the Lightning Network, a micropayments solution for Bitcoin, he just today released a new whitepaper introducing PLASMA.
Plasma is introduced by Buterin and his co-writer as:
"(...) a proposed framework for incentivized and enforced execution of smartcontracts which is scalable to a significant amount of state updates per second (poten-tially billions) enabling the blockchain to be able to represent a significant amount ofdecentralized financial applications worldwide."
