Ethereum Mining With Rx 580 8g 8gb Advanced Claymore Settings

in #ethereummining7 years ago (edited)

I'm currently running a 6 card miner with rx 580 8gb and I've noticed that nobody else seems to have really dug deep into the Claymore Settings.
Here are my current settings. I'm able to get 160 Mh/s, 26+ Mh/s per card, and the entire rig pulls under 1000 watts. I also dual mine DCR and get 900 Mh/s per card, 5400 Mh/s total for the rig.
I have been able to increase my Mh/s to 28 , but then I'll get incorrect shares, which actually lowers total profit. If you want get 28, just increase cclock and mmclock, don't change anything else. With the new mining drivers I've achieved over 30 Mh/s, but I lose the ability to overclock/undervolt, so it was overall less profitable. If I made any changes at all, the hashrate would drop down to 26 Mh/s (what I get now), but it was still using more power.
If you want 30 Mh/s just download the latest drivers here. http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspx

I'm running windows 10, 16.11.5/17.5.2 combined drivers, and Claymore V10.0.

Options 1

-cclock 1130
-mclock 2165
-cvddc 840
-mvddc 850

Above are you overclocking and some basic undervolting settings. Basically you want to get them to run on as little power as possible and then overclock it as much as possible, without causing errors.
If you have stability issues, lower mclock by 50 at a time until it's stable.

-asm 1 (See Calymore readme. 1 is the best option for the 580's)

-dcri 34 (This increases Alt coin mining. You want to push this as much as possible without taking away from your Eth Mh/s)
-mode 0
-ethi 16 (This takes gpu power away from Windows and applies it to mining)
-tstop 85 (This stops the miner if it a card reaches 85 degrees Celsius)
-tt 75 (This is the target gpu temperature. You want it low enough to not damage the card, but high enough to not overwork your fans)
-fanmin 30 (This is to keep the fans from turning off and on. my fans still stop sometimes)
-fanmax 100 (Allows the fan to reach 100%. Not really a necessary setting)
-ttdcr 83 (This tunes down my alt coin DCR mining if the cards reach 83 degrees Celsius)
-minspeed 120 (This restarts claymore if the total Mh/s goes below 120 Mh/s)
-powlim -30 (This lowers the amount of power that goes to each card. This setting saves a ton of money, you want to go as low as possible)
-r 1 (This restarts the entire miner if a gpu fails. See Claymore's Readme. you'll need to create a reboot.bat file)
-mport -3333 (This is for remote management. I dont really use this)
-esm 0 (Eth proxy mode. 0 is best for nanopool and dwarfpool. If you're having issues with your pool, this might be why)
-gser 2 (This buffers the ram before you start mining. I was able to push my cards much harder after applying this setting)
-allpools 1 (this has to do with devpool mining, which is your dev fee. If your devpool mining isn't working, it'll stop your entire miner)
-allcoins -1 (This allows you to mine Ethereum forks by setting the epoch for you. The disadvantage is that it starts the miner by first mining your dev fee.) #Set DCRI to 34 for DCR #Set DCRI to 20 for SIACOIN
