What Did Gid Say... from Genesis 3:4

in #eve7 years ago (edited)

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

… After questioning the WORD of GOD… Comes the questioning of THE WAY of GOD… (We see it it all over our culture and court system)...

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate.

(She only wanted to be like God!!!)... She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

John tells us all sin falls into one of these 3 categories:

… the lust of the flesh—it tastes good;

… the lust of the eyes—it’s nice to look at;

… the pride of life—it’ll make you wise and satisfy (1 John 2:16)...

... Eve bought and bit into Satan’s lie... And then invited Adam to do the same.

1st Timothy 2:14… tells us Eve was deceived...

… BUT ADAM ???... He wanted to be with EVE… He wanted EVE... More than he wanted to obey God…(people do this with boyfriends and girlfriends)

… What if EVE remained alone in this ???... Then… The FIRST ADAM would have DIED FOR HER… And PAYED HER PRICE… (Instead he sinned and died with her)… Death enters EITHER WAY !!!)...

… The Difference ???... He could have NOT SINNED and done this dying IN OBEDIENCE... (Instead of in disobedience and SIN with her)...

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened,

(They knew Good and Evil)...

...They used to solely rely on THEIR FATHER for what they wanted to know… (Solely dependent upon God)... It's how we were made...

…(Now they will naturally GROW INDEPENDENT from God)... What we're not made to do.
