So today I sat my third and final A-Level Economics exam.
Not that my college could do anything about it, but it was 31 degrees and the exam room was so hot!
They left the doors open to try and get cooler air into there, and every now and then I did get a nice breeze, but I still felt sick for most of the time!
As someone with a load of tummy problems, it's very sensitive so I can feel sick very quickly, however I don't feel comfortable going to the bathroom during exams due to the invigilators always taking your seat number down and whatnot afterwards.
This wouldn't be as bad, if my second Economics exam was different...
During this exam I was in the new block at college, which has really bad air conditioning and the room we were in doesn't have any windows that open.
That being said, sitting in there with about 100 people all together in 25 degree heat was horrible.
As the room is a lot smaller than the sports hall where I was today, it was a lot more compact and therefore felt a lot warmer than it actually was, so again I spent a huge majority of my exam feeling sick!
I really hope the exam boards take these sorts of factors into account when allocating the grade boundaries, not just for me but for everyone else who suffers from the heat.
Whilst things like fans wouldnt work in exam halls (they'd blow away the papers) maybe more windows and things like that would help?
It's just a thought. Your move, College/Exam Boards.
I'm sure you will have done amazingly even so xx
aww thank you charlie <3
