Bittrex is a Seattle-based cryptocurrency exchange which began operations in 2014. While there may be some competition between crypto exchanges, Bittrex ranks highly among the exchanges in the world.

Features:

Scalability: The system was created using flexible programming. This computing process has the ability to carry out transactions immediately they are made. This is a feature that helps check delays.
Security: The Bittrex platform is one where security is a priority, and to this end, they have put in place structures to ensure transactions and User information is secure. There is a 2-factor authentication needed for API usage and withdrawals, also, there is offline storage for about 90% of funds.
Fees: The fees are transparent and minimal; there is a 0.25% fee on all transactions.
Fast Transactions: An automated monitor ensures transactions are processed quickly. This makes for quicker transactions; it also ensures quick updates on wallet information, trades and balances.
Accessibility: With Bittrex, Users have instant access to a large number of cryptocurrencies, coupled with the high trading volume.
Support: Being one of the world’s largest exchange, translates to a lot of support tickets from users. However, Bittrex takes communication seriously, and apart from having an efficient customer support, being active on social media is another thing they do well.

Bittrex listings are another interesting thing about the system, as they have diverse coins in their hundreds and hundreds of crypto trading pairs are also available. With Bittrex, you can trade with Ethereum or Bitcoin, there is however no option to trade fiat currencies.

Bittrex accounts need verification before withdrawals can be made, and there are two types of accounts:

Basic Accounts: Verification for this account involves submitting your name, date of birth, and address; public records are used to verify the details. If this verification fails, there is the option of an enhanced verification. Users with verified basic accounts can withdraw digital currency equivalent of not more than 3 BTC/day.
Enhanced Accounts: Scans of IDs and pictures of users are sent for verification. If verified, enhanced account holders can withdraw no more than 100 BTC/day, provided 2-factor authentication has been enabled.

To get started on Bittrex, all you have to do is visit the website, select “LOGIN” and then sign up using your password and email address. You would need to verify your mail by clicking the verification mail sent to your email from Bittrex. When all that is done, you can begin transacting.

If you are a beginner altcoin trader, then this platform is an excellent start for you. Also Bittrex has never had issues about been hacked which is a plus to its security system. Overall, Bittrex is a good option.
