USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Poloniex (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily average which came out to:
- STEEM: $1.32266
- SBD: $0.93704
Previous Report:
- STEEM: $1.26309
- SBD: $0.95597
Assumptions
Please see the first report for a detailed explanation of my personal assumptions related to what this data could mean (along with commentary on previous reports). What it does not show is people powering up, powering down, or if they are buying or selling on an exchange. It's just some interesting data dealing with transfers to and from exchange accounts.

Commentary
Now that I've been doing this report for a year, I thought it would be time to spruce things up a bit around here! We have a brand new header image, thanks to @kyriacos! I asked for some options a few days ago and got some really great responses. Here are some others, and it was hard to pick a winner!
by @norik
by @aurealisticI've removed the old data from the withdrawal to deposit ratio graph which didn't include Steem Power transfers. You can still view that data on previous reports.
The withdrawal to deposit ratio is quite high at 8.29 to 1. Maybe more people are cashing out to ride the BTC wave!
Almost a million dollars heading out the door. I used to be discouraged by those big numbers, but when you think about blogging as the new mining, it may not be much different that miners selling their coins to support their work.
The top of the withdrawal charts on this week's report seems to be from an account with a -6 reputation who was big in the nsfw category. Guess they were sharing pirated material? I don't know, I didn't look into it myself. :)
Our largest deposit is from a two-month-old account @czechglobalhosts which seems like a cool travel blog. Check it out.
The powerdown amounts for next week is only slightly in the red at less than 1%. Last week I wondered if the 4% red powerdown would lead to a higher withdrawal ratio. It did.

How could miners support the network by selling their coins?
You are doing a great job my friend. Thanks a lot and keep it uu.
Due to your hardwork here and top quality posts which are undervalued, I hereby add you in my steemvoter.com (after reaching a mile stone) in order to better send in my support to your good work and quality posts...keep it up and more success.
Thanks for the update once more.
your post on steem power inspired me to write my new post ...check it out, I referenced you there. More success to you
Thanks, now I know a lot of useful informations because of this post.
Upvoted and follow your account!
I wanna see my name in this list of highest withdrawals in the near future.
With the withdrawals and not the deposits?
Withdrawals, to me, are for people who don't see the long-term vision and value of this platform. I've never been on it, myself.
My policy is that the more i withdraw the more i can deposit By doubling steem with other cryptocurrencies.
@lukestokes I was about to say that :D
Very informative post with useful informations, good job, upvoted, resteemed and follow your account! Have a nice sunday, greetings from Hungary!
Nice post!
Good one

@lukestokes
Nice work 👍👍
Thank you for your hard work! I am going to be a depositor myself.
It would be nice if coders could add power ups and downs into a value chart we can look at to get a better picture of steem and steem dollars overall value. Even better if it could be built into the platform with an interactive charting display.
Looks like another opportunity to pick up more steem with a biased withdrawal ratio. The price and deposits should climb again shortly, once BTC hits another benchmark. Bitcoin is a pretty dependable catalyst for market change.
A withdrawal of $139,202.33
That is absolutely crazy. Absolutely mind blowing to see the huge capabilities of steem. Annoying how Bittrex and Poloniex keep putting their wallets under maintenance which intern increasing the selling pressure.
Thank you for the statistic and analysis @lukestokes
awesome hehe
Interesting ...
Whewwww, nosebleed here haha. I want to appreciate your ways here, and thank you for even making a comment on a newbie like me here.
As I am your follower, it would help me a lot if you will find time on my second post, hopefully it will be my turn to nosebleed you there haha:

Thanks man!!! I saw your upvote, it means a lot to encourage a newbie like me here. Well actually not a newbie, this is my very first social media platform believe it or not. Regards.
I just posted my fourth daily installment man; hope you pass by to read. Thanks.
