A Need of Urban Transformation

I just finished a 6.972km cycling that lasted about 0hh:27mm:7ss !

Barcelona is one of the most trafficked cities in Europe, if not the first. The truth is that, behind the beauty of this city lies a serious problem. The pollution due to the use of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines is so high that it is already affecting the entire population in terms of the increase in cardiovascular and respiratory diseases ...
More and more people use non-polluting transportation means, bicycles and skates, electric or not... the problem is that the city has not yet adapted to the increasing use of these transportation alternatives.
The number of bike lanes is increasing every day but it is still insufficient...
Every day we are closer and closer to getting rid of polluting cars, trucks and motorcycles but still the progress on this process is poor, I hope we are not too late, we are still on a transforming process...

It's great to hear that the authorities are supporting the move to green transportation with the infrastructure. The thing is that the tempo might not be fast enough?

It is good that more and more car manufacturers are focusing on Electric cars.
I myself am from a small town (40K people) and am surprised each time when we have a city trip how bad the air quality is!
Let's hope we are not too late for ours kids!
