Camiguin White Island
Hello steemians, Here I am now again sharing with you my 2 days exploration at Camiguin island with my St. Peter Life Plan collegue as our summer outing last April 23-24, 2017. I really love travelling and If I have begin an opportunity to tour around different tourist destination here in the Philippines am really going, but since financially matters cannot yet meet my desire. That is why exploring first Mindanao.
Since that was our company summer outing. We rent a private van for to 2 days trip. It is an advantage for a tourist/traveller to have a vehicle roaming around the tourist spot in Camiguin because it is really far distant places.
First stop: Sto. Nino Cold Spring

It was really an ice cold spring. You will amazed where would that water came from. You cannot last tobswim a long hour because you really freezing out.
They also have a so called fish massage corner. Hang your feet and let it bit by many small fishes.
Next stop: Sunken Cemetery
Here, we can see the white cross erected to mark the cemetery that was swept by the volcanic birth of Mt Vulcan that led to the sinking of the town's cemetery below sea level. You can come near to the cross by boat. It was really amazing. At the side of the are there are some souvenir shop for pasalubong items.
My wife at the souvenir shop
Next stop: White Island
The island can be reached by riding a boat.
It was my first time to see and touch powdery white sand. It was a naked island, no manmade structure and even no trees. Because of that they put some beach umbrellas and tables, plastic chairs for rent, for the tourist to have some shades. They allow to bring some foods but you need to bring back the trash you have. It was really perfect for swimming and some water activities. We took a lot of souvenir photos. Selfies, jump shots, group shots. Huh! So nice. You will missed have of your life if you come to Camiguin without visiting the white island.
Another stop: Walkway to the Old Volcano & Stations of the Cross
It has an 8km path to the top of an old volcano. The walkway has 1000 steps. Since we are running out of time, we never climbed up to the top. We just take some some at the stairway.
Then: Ardent Hibok-hibok Hot Spring
Here, you really have a relaxing bath with a warm water. It is located at the foot of Mt. Hibok-Hibok. A Multi layer pool. You only have to select what pool that is tolerable and needed by your body.
Finally our last stop while waiting for our schedule of our barge going back to Balingoan, we rested at:
Taguines Lagoon and Aquasport Activity Area
Here, we have some rest and have a cup of coffee while watching some renting boat across the lagoon.
It was really a fun and fulfilling experience having a trip to one of the most visited tourist destination here in Mindanao.
Until next time. Thanks & God bless.
It's me
