Research Phase of Corrosion Inhibitor

As I discussed in the last post. I'm making a research on corrosion inhibitors. Today I started Research Stage by making Corrosive solute as the material used for iron bath.

The measurement of the corrosion rate in this study used the method of immersion with weight loss data in accordance with ASTM G31-72 (Standard, 2004) and conducted in Chemical Technology Laboratory and Process Unit of Chemical Engineering Department of Lhoksemawe State Polytechnic.

Preparation Corrosive fluid
By using HCL and aquadest.
Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solute of hydrogen chloride gas (HCl). It is a strong acid while the Solution is defined as a homogeneous mixture of two or more dispersed substances as either molecules, atoms or ions whose composition may vary. solute may be gases, liquids or solids. The aqueous fluid is a solution containing a small amount of solute, relative to the amount of solvent. While the concentrated solution is a fluid containing most of the solute. Solute is a solute, whereas
solvent (solvent) is the medium in which solute is dissolved.

When taking HCL using a measuring pipette must use gloves and mask because if not use safety can cause burning hands because HCL is a strong acid and smoke. And if not using a mask can result in shortness of breath and dizziness.

Then the fluid is stored in a fume hood.
