curation rewards:

Don't upvote articles that are already trending this won't bring you any curation rewards.
Take your time to find recently posted content wich could become trending/valuable and upvote it smart.
You need to power up! The more Steem power you hold the bigger curation rewards you will receive.

Author reward.
Author rewards you will receive for posting on Steemit.
First payout is after 12 hrs. Second payout is after 4 weeks
50% of payout you receive in Steem Dollars and 50% you receive in Steem power.
Post 4-6 articles a day, don't be a spammer and take time to contribute valuable content.
The second time period of 4 weeks was made so articles have a chance to become trending over time.

Every one can make money by Upvoting and here you will read what you need to know:
If you upvote before 15 minutes you give 99.94% to the author and get 00.06%
If you upvote after 15 minutes you give 50% to the author and receive 50%
If you upvote after 30 minutes you receive 100% curation reward
The more upvotes you do in a 24 hour period the less each of your upvotes is worth and rewarded. The recommended amount of upvotes in 24 hours is 20-30

I'm pretty sure from all the other Curation Reward articles I've read, that the first 30 minutes is a (linear) sliding % from

• (0 minutes after post )100% author - 0% curator
• (15 minutes after post) 50% author - 50% curator
• (30+ minutes after post) 0% author - 100% curator

Also, that the Curation Reward is only 25% of the net article value now. It used to be 50% of it. Then it is split up by a formula of who has upvoted first with more Steam Power than others. So if a post gets upvoted with "Big Steam Power" after your upvote, that helps you way more than if "Big Steam Power" upvotes before you.

TIPS: Read through several of these articles until you get an idea of the model. Be aware of the model change from 50/50 author/curation to 75/25 author/curation. Also if you're a visual person, look for an article or two with graphs.

Hi, I noticed that your thumbnail image is grayed out on the feed. Someone on Steemit was kind enough to help me when this happened to me as well. To fix this and allow for your picture to show, remove all parenthesis ( ) from the image file. Hope this helps.
