Diwali is one of the biggest festivals of lights in India. But, then there are these small festivals that are regional mostly based on a state-wise calendar. I think it was one of those festivals today, which neither me nor my Kannadiga friend knows about.
It was a surprise to see the lights and fireworks on streets today evening.

It is a usual sight to see the patterns drawn with the flour every morning. But, today was a special day I guess. They were colourful and surrounded by many "diya"s.
The homely feeling diya gives is something irreplaceable with modern lighting.
