Sell part of their stake in pre-negociated agreement(s) with key investors. Price should be agreed upon and settled off market (but should be announced publicly), as all sizable transactions should.

I had thought about that too @gadrian but I may not have thought about it enough.
That might be a good idea if the price moves even lower.
I wonder if @ned @exyle or @steemit has considered this as a possible plan.
In this case it matters a lot what you are looking for, more of a partner or more of a key investor.
And negotiations and what you get from them are crucial, much more than the price or the stake you sell.
I would have attempted this before reaching the point with the layoffs, but yet again I'm watching this from a distance. Hard to say.
