So why is a company in charge of developing steemit ?!?! Why not an open network?
Like @ura-soul put it, it is quite a paradox, a p2p network with an important single point of failure: the company developing the platform, in charge of innovation and maintenance... Looks to us that some people haven't fully transitioned in their minds. Open networks should produce and maintain p2p networks, isn't this obvious? There is no more contradiction.
Some say "Yes but open networks cannot function as economic agents". Yes they do. Open networks can do everything a traditional company can do, and even more.
