Finally made it home, and got some time to write, so lets get back to the track.
During race weekend different categories have different programs: F1 - 3 free practice sessions, qualifying and race; F2 and GP3 - Practice session, qualifying and 2 races; finally Porsche supercup has one session for practice, qualifying and race.
So as you already know/ or guess, Formula One is the main event - so the weekend is closed with the race, podium and on track celebration.
Saturday - Second part of the day is reserved for first races of F2 and GP3.
4 minutes before the race most of engineers and equipment are back in the pitwall and garages, F3 machines are on the grid and ready to fire up.
2 minutes to race, formation lap - final preparation and firing up the engine is done. We are all good to go!
And if you didn't know - Mick Schumacher, son of the legendary Michael Schumacher just scored his maiden victory this weekend. Great talents are paving their ways to F1, we will have healthy future in F1.
Formula 2
The biggest visual difference from F3 and last years F2 and F1 cars is these roundy bars around drivers helmet - The Halo. Even tho they look so ugly during the TV transmission and watching pictures/videos from onboard or that HD shots from skysport, when you see them on track all dissatisfaction disappears.
Apart from this photo I also uploaded a video on dtube earlier... Even tho the view is blocked by fence in the first part of it you can still see a minor crash and limping back on the track.
Now the most extreme sport in all of these - by the looks of course are cars and Porsche supercup teams...
But still they are way louder than F1 cars and its almost causing you some discomfort with all that noise near the track. Anyways, look for yourself on another Dtube video.
And for the end of this post here are few photos from the F1 race. :)
Even tho I didn't have big screen coverage at places I decided to watch it, still race was quite easy to follow except the crashes and contacts (got a video of one too) but in the posts to come :) too many material is hard to upload at the same time, so I decided to give everything on a tablespoon and be active with posting stuff. :)
Here are some adorable drivers from 2018th... Brandon Hartley - well, he is not proving his driving skills, but his messy haircut and stance is just hilarious and he seems like a nice fellow + driving in Torro Rosso Honda - has no guaranteed seat for next year.
Next one is Alonso - two times world champion, but his bad luck and ability to change to a team when it is sinking is impeccable. After WDC he moved to McLaren and went back to pretty bad Renault involved in crashgate controversy after which he continued his journey to the possibly worst era of Ferrari, just to go back to the worst McLaren era with Honda engines. His career for next year is pretty cloudy in the years to come (I just hope he doesn't retire - 38 years).
Daniel Ricciardo also known as Honey badger and his clear racing and nice defending but very elegant yet aggressive overtakes and super-late breaking. He will most likely extend contract with Red Bull, but still uncertain for next year.
EDIT:
Latest news: 3th August, Daniel announced departure from Red Bull - most likely he will be pairing with Hulkenberg in Renault next season. This is another disturbance in next year driver lineup. :)
And for the end, the ICEMAN - latest Ferrari world champion (2007), he started this season with team radio "Don't fuck me up with this.", well they did fuck him up quite few times, and with his unique driving skill he was rushing to take the pole in Hungary, but.... Haas sprayed too much so he had to abort the lap. Still looking for a win in 2nd stint in Ferrari. Great sportsman and a racing driver, has 20 wins and 99 podiums, currently he is running 5 consecutive races on podium (everyone is hoping the 100th podium will be 21st win) :). Currently he is the oldest one on the grid (39 years) and just like previous 10 years of his career he doesn't have secured seat - probably he will stay in Ferrari, but there are rumors linking him to McLaren or Sauber.
Thats all for now, more of the stuff to come, something like tough life of Marshals, pit walks, comparison to last season review of the whole racing weekend or something like that, etc.

great post @svemirac! I didn't know Michael Schumacher had a son who was racing, pretty cool :) Nice details about the driver / team relationships
Yeah, basically Schumi is still alive - so he has a son ;) and he is making his way up in the very competitive field. :)
Thanks for coming by Carl, cheers. :)
Nice shots form the F1. I saw it once in Montreal and loved. For a day or two they had the cars put on display somewhere downtown and there were huge crowds around them.
Nice post! You had a good view. What are your favourite F1 cars? See my latest post for mine. Ciao!
