Facebook Stopped Monetizing My Small Crypto Blog

in #facebook7 years ago

QUICK RANT on Facebook:

Recently, a friend and I started a blog about crypto news, reviews, and tutorials (https://www.cryptobytes.me/). We hear about Facebook Instant Articles and decided to monetize our content there (https://www.facebook.com/CryptoBytes.me/). A few days after we see this on the news:

After getting our website set up, we come to find out Facebook stopped monetizing crypto content. Although I do get that there are ICO's trying to scam people out of their money and shady business practices around crypto (Like the one this guy found on Twitter: ~~~ embed:952568657766469632 ). However, there have been shady businesses on Facebook scamming people out of there money since the beginning. twitter metadata:Z2F2aW5zYmxvZ3x8aHR0cHM6Ly90d2l0dGVyLmNvbS9nYXZpbnNibG9nL3N0YXR1cy85NTI1Njg2NTc3NjY0Njk2MzIgKS4gSG93ZXZlciwgdGhlcmUgaGF2ZSBiZWVuIHNoYWR5IGJ1c2luZXNzZXMgb24gRmFjZWJvb2sgc2NhbW1pbmcgcGVvcGxlIG91dCBvZiB0aGVyZSBtb25leSBzaW5jZSB0aGUgYmVnaW5uaW5nLnw= ~~~

I hope Facebook figures it out and does not hurt those who are actually trying to create quality and informative content on their platform. They should be better at filtering these things out!

Is The Zuck scared? What a joke.

I'm really happy I decided to take a break from Facebook.

lol I am about to do the same. Maybe start promoting this platform a little more..

The only business allowed to make money on facebook is facebook... They wouldn't even let me pay to boost my art prints for sale. Their algorithms detected the images had "too much text" - ya, the title of the print, my signature, the print #, and website, that's it...FullSizeRender (5).jpg

Yes! I have been through a similar situation. It's ridiculous... smfh
