Well said. Nobody ever changes their mind from a debate. Debates are constructed on the basis of two people who are determined to demonstrate why the other person is crazy. It always works (in the mind of each party).

I've also noticed that in many debates, people are using the same words. However, the same words have completely different meanings in the minds of the debaters. A good example is a debate I saw on YouTube. It was a debate about capitalism vs. socialism. The pro-capitalism camp called North Korea a socialist state, while the pro-socialism camp called it a capitalist state. It obviously cannot be both simultaneously. Debate is impossible until the terms are defined.
