Why does sky turns red in the evening?

Hello friends!How are u all doing,hope all are doing great and friends yesterday when i was on the road to a place named dhalaibil i saw the sky appearing red and i thought to take a picture of it with my cell phone which i wanted to post it in steemit.So friends i have posted it with my self knowledge including here,so hope u all read it.

The sky turns red in the evening,this happens so because the red colour consist the longest wavelength in the colour spectrum.We often see red sky at evening which means the sun is providing its light through a high amount of atomies and dust particles.The colour such as blue have shorter wavelength and are easily scattered.While the red colour in the sky is due to an effect mainly known as rayleigh scattering which is similar to mie scattering i.e. the main factor for the white colour of clouds.

Several particles present in our atmosphere are approximately of the same size compared to the wavelength of the light causing the white light to scatter into different individual components.The main reason causing the blue light are the two main components of the atmosphere i.e. the oxygen ansd nitrogen.This is why sky appears blue at midday.

Sunrise and sunset are the two main time when the sun is at a greatest distance from the observer which means that the blue light has been scattered so the light recieved by the observer is of longer wave length and therefore it appears red to the observer.
