This month we will witness five major astronomical phenomena: the convergence of Jupiter and the moon, the Eastern elongation of mercury, the connection of Mars and Neptune, connection of Venus and the moon, and the Eclipse of Uranus by the Moon.
So, to the evening of 8 January under favorable weather conditions it will be possible to observe Jupiter and the natural satellite of the Earth.
January 15 will come evening Eastern elongation of mercury. The fastest planet of the Solar system will be visible to the naked eye after about 30 minutes after sunset in the Western horizon.
22 Jan after sunset in the southwestern part of the sky will appear the connection of Venus and the moon.
Also in January, the sky will be the Neptune and Uranus which is very rarely visible, and January 20, will appear the connection of Mars and Neptune.
Finally, on January 25, it will be possible to observe the Eclipse of Uranus by the Moon.
