Fact: 70 to 85 % people prefer right hand instead of left . Why?
Well I did research over it, whatever I found going to share with you.
There are many explaination to this, in regional, hypothetical, scientific, biological, cyclogical and many others.
The most suitable explanation I found is:
Cyclogical aspect:
Well early days right hand are considered as symbol of blessings and well being. Thus people do follow their tradition and also teaches there children to write with there right hand. And thus we develop a habit of using right hand instead of left.
Scientific aspect:
Actually there's no scientific evidence to support it . Well It's true. A number of experiment was conducted over animal to find the answer. But what they concluded that animal didn't not prefer any specific hand, rather use both there hands equally and use as requested according to situation.
Biological aspect:
There is also an explanation for this. Our right hemisphere of brain is responsible for all instant action and it also responsible for regulating of right hand. By nature we do more use of right hand to do instant action.
FACTs : People those do work with Left hand are creative by nature and they learn things faster then Right Hand people.

I think you have it incorrect. The right brain controls the left side of the body and the left brain controls the right.
