Prophet Muhammad SAW alone has a cat named Mueeza. In Islam itself, cats are considered as clean animals close to humans. It can be read through a hadith that reads,
إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِنَجَسٍ إِنَّهَا مِنَ الطَّوَّافِينَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَالطَّوَّافَاتِ
"This cat is not unclean. In fact, cats are the animals we often meet and are all around us. "(Narrated by Tirmidhi, Abu Daud, An Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Ad Darimi, Ahmad, Malik).
Mueeza has always meowed every time he heard the call to prayer, his voice as if following the sound of the call to prayer. So unfortunately with his cat, Prophet Muhammad SAW always hold Mueeza when receiving guests, or put it on his thigh.
2. In Some Countries In Asia, Cats are Included In The Zodiac
In some countries in Asia, especially in Vietnam, cats are said to include zodiac animals, unlike the Chinese zodiac. According to legend, when the Heavenly King had a feast for the animal to be chosen as a zodiac, he sent a mouse to invite the animals he had chosen. The myth that develops around the community is a cat has 9 lives. Cats are believed to outwit wherever they are. It can be said that this animal is likely to survive if it falls from a height.
