1 Corinthians 15:51-54

"Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

In the twinkling of an eye - This is an expression also denoting the least conceivable duration of time. The suddenness of the coming of the Lord Jesus is compared in 2 Peter to the coming of a thief in the night.

At the end of the age, when God establishes his rule, he will do a wonderful thing for his people. He will rescue them completely from death, so that they have his new life in both their bodies and their spirits. There are two groups of people being resurrected—deceased Christians first, and living Christians afterward. They will never again suffer shame, weakness or death. They will live for eternity and rule with him.

The sound of the trumpet will declare that this moment has, at last, come. Christ said that the angels would gather God’s people with the sound of a great trumpet in Matthew 24:31.

Are you ready for the return of Christ?

Oh yes! What an insightful message that deserves an upvote. We are living in the last days. It is already midnight and the last trumpet about to sound. It is time for all to wake up and dress up as the bridegroom is coming.

Amen....a lot of us are very lukewarm nowadays. We need to be ready like the bride getting ready for her groom.

Thanks. I have been away for a while but I am back with more to share with my fellow brethren. It is ALREADY MIDNIGHT! Stay blessed.
