Let’s talk Faith: Let God do His Work - Let's Pray!
Faith Quote of the Day - 03/24/2018
"When we work, we work. When we pray. God works."
Hudson Taylor
"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14)
"Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven." (Psalm 107:28-30)
By answering everything that we ask doesn't mean that if we want to be a millionaire and God will give it to us, and I am not talking about prosperity gospel here - that is something I disagree and I do not think that is the full gospel. But anyways, what Jesus was really talking about in John 14:13-14 is that, as a person doing His work, living in His spirit, seeking to do His will, and following His footstep, He will - so long what we are asking for is not simply out of ignorance. However, we do absolutely need to know that it is ultimately His will to give us a "Yes", "No", or "Wait".
In the meantime, we also need to remember His is God and we are not, so let God be God, and understanding that we are simply human - accepting our limitation. Let go and let God do His thing. :)

When we are in the Spirit, we do not desire to ask Him for things that are not of true value. He desires to give us, first wisdom, so we seek Him and then 2nd, the gifts that He desires best to give us. We become aligned with His will and our desires our His desires.
Blessings!
Well said. And thanks for your support on my post
That's really true! When our hearts and wills align with His, of course whatever we ask will be granted as it is HIS will to begin with! Great having you again Craig! :)
Thank YOU Stephen for your constant and consistent message.
No No NO! Thank you for your constant support! :)
If God answered everything everyone asked for it would be a big problem! He sees the bigger picture and having faith during trials draws us closer to him. Enjoyed your post 💜 Sister in Christ
That is true! How many times when we asked for something and we got a "no" from God, later to find out the "No" that God provided was actually the best solution? We are only human and we are so limited, we just need to admit that! :) Great having you here!
Amen 🙂🙂🙂
