SPACE X successfully launched its flagship Falcon Hevy rocket into space in its first launch test, putting the private company owned by billionaire Elon Mask in a new cornerstone.
The missile placed a red Tesla Roadstar in a virtual solar orbit and in a path that makes it far from the Earth at the same distance from Mars, Reuters reported.
SpaceX released a video of the car floating in space on Wednesday.
The Falcon rocket broke through the clear blue sky on Tuesday from a rocket launch site in Florida.
The rocket, equivalent to a 23-storey building, was carrying a Tesla Roadstar into space as a pilot.
The Falcon Hevy is designed to put a 70-tonne payload into near-Earth orbit at a cost of $ 90 million per launch, equivalent to twice the capacity of the largest missile in the US space fleet, the Delta 4 Heavi.
