Looking for perfection isn't a healthy habit since perfection is impossible to achieve, at least for now...

Making mistakes while raising children is absolutely normal, and people always end up growing ok, unless the mistakes were really brutal, which is not common at all.

So having constant worries would only make us feel stressed for no reason. Besides, today's parents usually have more information about how to be a good parent than past generations, with all the blogs and websites about parenting, now we can be an expert on the subject without even having kids!

So, taking a more relaxed approach, or as you say a"good enough" approach is certainly the best. As I just said, perfection is impossible to reach, so why don't we simply put our best on the task and that's it, accept or mistakes, learn from them, and pass the knowledge to the new generation. As simply as this.
