A visit from CPS is pretty much NEVER a good thing. It means someone suspects you of abusing your children, which is bad enough; but the power they are invested with means if there is anything about you they just don't like, you could very well lose your children. Innocence and guilt means nothing in these circumstances, only the inclinations of the CPS official. That is why many of us are so concerned about never, ever, ever incurring a CPS investigation. We just don't know if we would get a good and reasonable official or one on a power trip.
