Forgotten? Hurricane Harvey

in #family7 years ago

It has been seven months since hurricane Harvey hit the coast of Texas and we have all just kind of forgotten about all of them by now. There were several great ministries that helped all of the people tear out moldy and wet stuff out of houses but most of those houses are still completely untouched.

Now it is time to rebuild those houses and most of us have forgotten about them. 8 Days of Hope is accepting volunteers who are willing to work to rebuild almost seven hundred houses over the course of 15 days. Here is the link to there website if you are interested in volunteering or donating. http://eightdaysofhope.com/ The date for this is March 10-25.

Several of our family members and friends are going to be going down to help rebuild destroyed homes so I will be doing another post when we get back from Texas.

Thanks for your prayers and donations for all of the people affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Those affected by Hurricane Harvey are in our minds and our hearts. @ironshield

Thank you very much.

We still have friends living with us who completely lost their home. As in leveled, gone, hauled off by several dump trucks. I’m not sure who has been more blessed in this situation. Their four year old daughter snuggled up to me yesterday and wispered, “I love you Mr. Jeff.” Melted my heart!

That was an awful storm and I will put your friends on my prayer list! Thanks for sharing that story.

Stay safe and shine the light of Yeshua in all that you do!

Thank you. We will do!

Thanks for posting this!

No problem!

My family just moved from where it would have hit!
We were lucky!
