It's interesting to see the contrast between Esteban & Luna. He doesn't care at all about things like shoes. Too busy blowing things up! The good old yin/yan of men/women... mars/venus!
When I must buy new clothes I am the same way... get it done as quick as possible. Don't care about the style.
But when it comes to shoes I just won't do it. Feels so unnatural now, like constant foot torture. My best friend did persuade me to wear them when I was a groomsman at his wedding... just because I was supposed to look the same as the other groomsman! But you can be sure I took them off the moment the ceremony was over ;)
