Introducing My Little Brother's Passions: Taking Care of Fosters In Kauai

I wanted to share my little brother Gabriel's foster kittens at the moment, and in doing so introduce Steemit to his lifestyle. He, my mother and my grandmother live on the island of Kauai and there is a big stray cat problem there. Gabriel, who is now 18 year old, has logged over a thousand hours at the humane society on the island. There is a huge effort to save the endangered species of birds on Kauai, and cats happen to be predators....which doesn't help their cause. Gabriel and my mom take in fosters from the humane society quite frequently because they have to get euthanized otherwise :(, and that is very difficult to accept.

Here are there current three that they just picked up last weekend chillin on a chair. And some more pics of two of them below. No names for them yet, but we're open to ideas....

Gabriel shows that one person can make a difference in the lives of many. They currently own 3 dogs, 7 cats and are often finding ways to feed the outdoor feral cats (so they don't go for the endangered bird species) He's fostered many litters of kittens and puppies and fairly often winds up keeping one or two, each one being a big time and resource investment to care of over time.

When my girlfriend and I have been lucky enough to visit them in Kauai, we have been exposed to the animal house. Solid moments have been caught on camera. Could be holding 3 pups, could be holding 7.

I saw a post yesterday by @lifefrommyeyes about a kitten he helped rejuvenate when he was on vacation on a gorgeous Greek island. Made me want to do this post, so you should check that out as well.
