Benchmark: Your Dry Bones Shall Live Again

"...And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest...." Ezekiel 37:1-14, KJV

From my little study, I understand that, at the time Ezekiel was prophesying about the returning of the twelve tribes of Israel as one nation, Israelites had spent over 140 years in captivity. With many generations into their captivity and the identity of Israel seemingly lost, they thus settled in the lands of their captors, with no hope of returning to their homeland. Their situation looked so complicated because the two kingdoms of Israel were captured by two powerful nations - the Assyrians and Babylonians. At this juncture, what they were saying to one another was: "...Our bones are dried up, our hope is gone, there's nothing left of us." (vs 11, MSG).

That was the best the Israelites could think of. But you see, for God to change their situation, their hope had to be rekindled first. And to rekindle their hope, God needed just one man, who was light enough for His Hand to lift him up in the Spirit to catch His vision about their situation. If that man was too heavy with the challenges, he would never have caught the vision nor heard the message of hope God brought to them. So, the Israelites remained hopeless for as long as they did not see or hear the message of hope. But truth is, there are no hopeless situations with God; only humans see and count hopelessness! And if your family situation would change, God only needs you, with your hope alive!

The reason you have lost all hope in your current situation, is that you are already overwhelmed by it. So you have made it practically herculean for God to truly prove Himself in your case, just because all you now believe is the report of the enemy. You are too heavy (with your challenges) for God's Hand to bring you into the Spirit realm of possibilities. Beloved, the earlier you realised that your situation can never threaten God, the better for you! Ezekiel was in a situation that was, humanly speaking, beyond redemption; but he admitted before God that only Him could really answer the question of those very dry bones in the valley: "...Son of man, is it possible for these bones to come to life? And I made answer, and said, It is for you to say, O Lord." (vs 3, BBE) In other words, if God says so, it will be so!

Then and there, Baba seemed to be saying: "See, Ezekiel, I have actually said so. As I asked you the question, I have also provided the answer. As far as I am concerned, these are no more dry bones, but living soldiers - a great army for that matter. But I need you to be My mouth. You have to speak (prophesy) to the dry bones on My behalf. Don't bother about how it will be, you just prophesy!" So, Ezekiel, as he was commanded, prophesied and everything he said came to pass. See, even if your marriage is as bad as those dry bones (which I am sure it is not), please don't lose hope. Just prophesy! Every word of God you speak into your home, shall come to fruition; it is a question of time. Prophesy, just as God did at creation, that there be light in all dark situations of your life. And it shall be so!

Baba has put some words in my spirit. He says: Your dry home (marriage) shall live again. Your dry womb shall live again. Your dry finances shall live again. Your dry business, job or career shall live again. Your dry spiritual life shall live again. Your dry bones shall live again! Whatever is dry in your life shall live again. So tell that bastard, the devil, that you have changed your mind - you choose to keep your hope alive against all odds. The Lord is sending forth a refreshing season for your life. So prophesy, call the bones to come together, ask sinews, flesh and skin to cover them; then call breath into them. Ignore the noise and the shaking, they are part of the healing process. Prophesy until all dry bones in your life begin to live again. Shalom!
