This is the problem with the people of our country they think if your kid isn't gone for 8 hours a day sitting in a chair, he or she must not be learning.. I hate the school system but I really hate its creators good hearten they may have been but, now if you dont tell the government your homeschooling so they can send you test they assume your just not teaching your kid.... which first of all is none of their god damn business. God I hate the morals of the people in america always think they know whats best for others. I Hope all goes well for you @richq11 I'm only 19 so I really have no advice I can only say what I know and that is people should stay out of your family's business, government especially.
I homeschooled all four of my kids plus I have a MA and used to teach college. My granddaughter is still in kindergarten and I've already taught her how to read (she hates it but that changes). So she's already ahead of most of the other kids.
Yes that's amazing I might send my kids to public school but I'll be the one educating them that's for sure
