I humbly come with a song parody for you. Some songs lend themselves to addressing multiple emotions that is brought on when the CPS foster care system enters your life. Such is the case with Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. We encounter such extremes of feelings. Nothing really matters indicates apathy. Loneliness and sorrow is expressed in the verses. The confrontational struggle comes in the midsection while anger and rage enters following thee guitar solo before the end. The song closes with apathy. These are all part of the CPS foster care experience.,
For those who do not know, this was Freddy Mercury's 'coming out' song. I hope this song parody can be used as a coming out of the truth of the misery and hell that the CPS brings to the doorstep of each family. The world needs to know the real story of the injustice and hopelessness that accompany the theft of young boys and girls.
On a side note the Bohemian Rhapsody, the movie showcasing the life of Freddy Mercury and Queen, just came out here in America.
Now take a few moments and enjoy the Bohemian Rhapsody experience as offered by our CPS foster care system in this song parody.
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
Is this the real life?
Is this the CPS
Caught in the system,
No escape from this dreadful mess
Open your eyes,
Their schemes and their lies to see
I'm just a poor boy, I need my family,
But it is trafficking a steady flow
Little girls and boys we know
Any way the cash blows justice isn't coming for me...for me
Mama They've taken me
Put these nightmares in my head
All my my dreams and goals are dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now they've gone and kidnapped it away
Mama, ooh
All I ever do is cry
I try to hide the pain inside my sorrow
Apathy... apathy as if nothing really matters
Sold off to foster care
The filth infested grime
My heart's aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody, I used to know
Gotta leave you all behind, they mask the truth
Mama, ooh (any way the cash blows)
I don't like this lie,
I wonder why they ever had to call.
I see a little silhouetto of a child,
Kids are cash! Kids are cash! my mind is going wild.
Easy and inviting
Very, very exciting to me
(CPS) CPS
(CPS) CPS
CPS let me Go!
We'll bring you woe -o-o-o-o
I'm just a small child, no one to defend me
He's just a small child from a kind family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Shuffled in child flow, will you let me go?
CPS No, we will not let you go (let him go!)
CPS! We will not let you go (let him go!)
CPS! We will not let you go (let him go!)
Will not let you go (let him go!)
Never, never let you go
Never let me go, oh
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh, Set me free now! Set me free now! (Set him free now let me go)
Foster care has a devil there to spare for me, for me, for me
So you think you can steal me and sell me like property (Yeah!)
So you think you can keep me away from my family?
Oh, justice , can't there ever be justice!
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here
Nothing really matters
So much apathy
All the world chatters
Nothing really matters for me
Any way the cash blows
