I agree with neighbors helping families as a precursor before calling the CPS. Unfortunately today's society is fragments and apathy is epidemic. People are afraid to get involved. They also do not have the time. Sadly gone are the Mayberry days. I so wish we had them. It can and often does take a village. However it also takes a village to destroy a family. It is more dependent on the sincerity of the village people. I wish we could return to those days. How do we go back to caring for neighbors? How do we come out of our box houses? We need to be more friendly to our neighbors. Thanks for a great idea. I am for it and want those times again.

A lot of your neighbors are probably just as afraid of you as you are of them. "How do we come out of our box houses? " Just open that door and walk out of it!!
