"I really wished my first narrative and the stats were true..."
I don't. Trauma occurs ANYTIME a child is removed from their home, even if they are returned quickly, or put with other relatives.
The better solution is NOT TO TAKE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE! They need a court order or the child needs to be in imminent danger (about to die) but instead they are taken routinely.
Family social services needs to be defunded and abolished. It cannot be fixed.
Of course no child deserves to be taken., that's why everyone needs to be on their A game and avoid being swept off their right in the first place. Yes, even a caseworker interrogating a child even if the child remains at home can cause trauma as well. I've seen some really weird nasty caseworkers. Every child need to be home and all the unnecessary nose sticking into homes need to stop.
We all must fight for a child's right to a bright future undisturbed.
