In August 27, a 33-year-old resident of Taganrog Natalya Chugaeva gave birth to a boy in the city maternity hospital.
The staff showed the baby to the mother only once, explaining this by a specific COVID epidemiological situation.
On August 30, Natalia was discharged, but the newborn was not given away, arguing that due to insufficient weight, the baby needs to be monitored at the pathology department.
On September 3, a young mother visited this department and saw the baby. Then the she did not know it would be the beginning of her war for him...
From that time the staff used different reasons but did not show the baby to the mom.
On September 11, Natalia wrote the first doscument demanding to give the child back to her. The administration of the maternity hospital did not register her statement, but orally promised to return the child in a week. But it did not happen again.
On September 25, the attending physician announced that Chugaeva's son was being transferred to the baby's home - orhanage!!!
The maternity hospital also refused to register the second demand to give the newborn.
Natalya received an official response only on October 8, after she asked the mayor of the city and activists to help her.
The maternity hospital replied that since she had not visited the child since September 4, he maternity house had to draw up an act on the abandonment of the baby, and on September 21, the city department of guardianship issued an order to place the baby to the baby's house - orphanage.
That is, on September 25, when Natalya came and talked with the doctor, her newborn son was already there as a baby without parents!
Natalia went to court with a demand to recognize the actions of the maternity hospital and guardianship as illegal and return her son back to her. In her statement, she pointed to forgery.
In the Act on the abandonment of the child there was deliberately false information about mother's agreement for adoption of her baby!
Natalia and her husband ised mass-media power to make the situation loud, and it was their salvation!
On October, 13 social nets made a great scandal about this outrage, and already on October, 14 the baby was returned to the mother!
One of the versions why it happened in such a crual manner and exactly with this family is the fact that it's an ordinary family with 3 kids, and the officials didn't expact they would be so stubborn and agressive in their struggle for this baby.
But does it matter how many kids are there in a family??
A mother can be a cruel predator when there is danger for her baby!
