I'm looking for some budget mining motherboards with 1-2 m.2 slots. I found the Biostar TB250-BTC for $69.99. Can anyone make any other recommendations?
A lot of m.2 slots are strictly for SSD/SATA. From the website, "Acorn must go in a M.2 M Key PCIe 2280 slot or a suitable M.2 M Key adapter card in a traditional PCIe slot. M.2 B Key SSD or M.2 B+M Key SATA slots are not compatible with Acorn."
z270-a both m.2 can be set for mining via pcie and they are x4, the second m.2 you have to change it from sata to pcie in the bios. I am mining on both m.2's for months I have this same board.
most of the asus boards support bifurcation so you can use a 4 way m.2 hypercard in the slot instead of board mounted m.2 which won't fit the acorn module if you are mounting gpus on the board
some one told me that mining is not any more profitable work so why not you invest money and buy steem power and make money with it instead
