Maybe it is just me, but I feel that we have had warmer days in the winter than we had this month. Pictured above is the Farmer's Market that we always have at the Lacey United Methodist Church beginning in May, which is only next month. Held on every Friday throughout the summer, the Farmer's Market in Forked River, New Jersey, not only offers fruit and vegetables, but also hosts a variety of vendors. I have purchased banana bread, hot sauce, soap and jewelry also at this event.
LUMC also sells baked goods once a month to raise funds for our missions at the market. The weather will need to take a turn for the better if these upcoming months are to be successful. A recent Yankee game turned disastrous for some pitchers due to the rain and winds that they played through. This was especially dangerous if you are the hitter when the pitcher can't control the ball due to the cold and wet conditions.
So, here's to the upcoming months that they will bring plenty of sunshine and warmth. We already cancelled the Blessing Of The Vehicles. Let's hope the Car Show on May 10th will go off without a hitch!
