Finally I have got around to start the growing season on the balcony! It is so late but I had some other things that needed attention first ( a water leak in the kitchen led to a total redoing of the kitchen and lost my job so had to find a new one).
Usually I end up with a mix of self planted plants and bought ones. This year I will focus on vegetables and berries and not much flowers. Curious about how much food it is possible to grow in an apartment. And love the feeling when you cook something and pick vegetables as needed. Does not get fresher than that!
Bought strawberries "Deelize" that should give berries the whole summer.
Today I planted a variety of seeds. Not sure about the names in english so took a picture.. More than half of them are new to me, so will be exciting to see what I will be able to get from them! The ones that I am most curious about is "Zataar", a Syrian herb with a tast that is supposed to be a mix of thyme and oregano. Also very curious about the mini melons. They look so cute!
This is how much plants that I think will be more than enough to fill the balcony when they get bigger. Will add some tomato plants later though.
Planted a few seeds of each kind. And had the sence of marking them!
This will be one of the few flowers this year. Think it had a pause in flowering for just two of three months during the winter.
growing is season is new hope for me. I'm coffee farmer. There are some moment in farm that made us happy, growing season, flowering season and harvest season :)
Yes, it is wonderful to see nature awakening. And after the colourless winter ( live in Sweden so there are almost nothing green in nature during winter) to get all the colours back! Thankyou for your comment!
