source

The sweet potato is an excellent food that provides countless benefits for our body. In this opportunity, I will review the properties benefits and uses of sweet potatoes.

Properties:

The sweet potato has a high content of beta carotene, which makes a source of antioxidants. It also offers a large amount of fiber considered good quality. As well as fiber, potassium, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium and, although its taste is sweet, several studies this is not harmful to our body.

Benefits:

The sweet potato provides energy, especially when you make a long day of running. It improves cognitive performance, enhances memory, and prevents diseases such as diabetes and obesity. It also provides satiety. It has a low glycemic index, which makes it ideal for incorporating it into slimming or maintenance diets.

Applications:

The sweet potato can be consumed as pures, fried, roasted. Recently, my mom tossed them into a grain stew and left a nice sweet taste. To boil it and not lose its properties, they can be added to the water when it is boiling. If possible, it can be steamed.

Generally, I usually prepare it as puree or baked. To bake them I do the following: the hair, the beak as if I were going to make French fries, I put them on a tray, I throw salt and a little oil and put them in the oven. I remove them when I taste them they feel that they are crispy.
