I recently became a Level 1 Fascial Stretch Therapist; You can read more about it here
Fascial Stretch therapy looks at the human body as a unified biotensegrity structure whereas everything is connected. What this means is we are moving beyond the "isolated muscle theory" point of view into a more wholistic view of the body.
Fascial Stretch Therapy is spreading fast and is gaining reputation as "yoga on crack". One of the key components of FST is TRACTION. Think of how many people are stuck at a desk infront of a computer screen all day.
Your hipflexors shorten, your gluteals deactivate, your shoulders internally rotate, your supraspinatus is strained. FST addresses the tension, compression and reactivation of deactivated muscles.
Here is a timelapse DEMO of a 30 minute session.
