I am really into recycling everything I can at the moment. It just makes me crazy seeing how much plastic, paper and trash I throw away every day.
I am trying to get better with my waste production and, in the meantime, I always look for creative ways to recycle material that I would otherwise throw away.
Here's a little wine-corks necklace that i made for my friend. It's her birthday tonight and I hope she'll like it as much as i do! Even though I admit that it's kind of original ;)
If you want to recreate it, just cut some wine corks and make a hole in them. I have added some wooden beads that I've painted marble-style just to give it some color. There....a zero waste necklace!
That’s pretty neat. I love to build things, but am not always the most crafty. What else do you do to recycle and upcycle to reduce your waste?
Hi! The one thing that I try to do is to shop less at supermarkets where everything is wrapped in a lot of plastic and shop more at farmer markets or other shops where you can bring your re-usable bags and containers. It's not easy I know and I am far from perfect! Another thing I do is that I keep aside bottle caps, cute glass jars or plastic containers that seems sturdy. Than I look for ideas t upcycle them. Pinterest is great for that. For example you can make recycled toys for your kids or use the plastic containers for little things (nails, screws...etc). My next big purchase that I have been thinking about since forever is a water filter. I am so sick of buying water in plastic bottles and throw away all that plastic on a daily basis...
