The outfit consists three-piece attire, the Sokoto (that is, a pair of trousers), the Buba, (that is, the short sleeved top), and the Fila ( hat or cap).

This post is about my first experience putting on a "bubba" clothing (as you can see in the picture above). Excuse me if I feel a little giddy or may be even strange, truth is, I'm yet to recover from the experience.

My kind of conventional dress style is the western "suit and tie", "shirt and trousers" kind of appearance, but just last Saturday, I was compelled to turn up "the trad way" in the bid to grace a friend's wedding ceremony.

You'll ask, Does it mean Marpe doesn't attend weddings? Cos it is statutory to turn up "the trad way" in Nigerian weddings. Well, I attend weddings, I buy the aso-ebi's, but I rarely make my clothing for the events. I just buy and keep, but this time, I thought to give it a shot. Now look what we have.

I like!!!

Bubba is a Nigerian-made Yoruba Clothing

The Yoruba have legendary types of clothes that make them distinct from other cultures around them. They take immense pride in their attire, for which they are well known for. Clothing materials traditionally come from processed cotton by traditional weavers. They believe that the type of clothes worn by a man depicts his personality and social status, and that different occasions require different clothing outfits.

I don't want this to end
